2010 ART WORKSHOPS

“Journaling at Bridgeport”
One Day Workshop Sunday May 2nd. From 10AM – 2PM
Fee: $20.00 Some materials included. If you would like to carpool plan to register early. We will be at the Yuba River State Park at Bridgeport, CA just south of Grass Valley.

For those Dawns Hallmark students and Wildwood Art Club members who have already taken a journaling class, you might find this one day out into the beauty of Nature and excellent experience. We will review all the classes demonstrations, jump into some new exercises sure to entice your creative talents. Demonstrations on drawing & painting at Nature close up and personal. Bring a sack lunch.

“Watercolor Landscape Painting”
Dawns Hallmark, Auburn, CA
Tuesdays – May 4, 11, 18 & 25th 9AM – Noon
Fee: $80.00 Materials list supplied with class confirmation.
Returning students may take a $10 discount IF you mail in your registration fees before classes begin.

This class covers your painting tools, water & pigments and how they work when painting landscapes. Designed to show you many ways to create a look or style all your own.Open to beginners to intermediate painters.Remember, students at Dawns receive a 10% discount on art supplies at Dawns Hallmark. This class is limited to six due to the room size. Register early, this is a popular class.

“Brown Bag Paper Mache”
(Saturday workshops) May 1st, 8th and 15th 10AM – 2PM. Fee: $50

All materials supplied Held at The Snow Goose Studio, Nevada City. You can totally create your sculpture in two meetings, But One added day give students a chance to work slowly to complete their three dimensional sculpture Open to beginners to advanced. If you have always wanted to sculpt, this is a fund class for you.The first day we design, sculpt and begin to paper mache. Everyone takes home their piece to work on during the week, then returns to the next meeting to prep, paint and decorate our sculpture.

“Indoor Journal Workshop”
One Day workshop held at the Snow Goose Studio in Nevada City. Sunday, May 16th. 2010 • 10AM – 2PM Fee: $50 (materials list supplied with your class confirmation.)

Brush up on all your journaling techniques with pencil, graphite, pen, watercolor pencils and crayons,, as well as your traveling watercolor set. Develop handy hints about journaling. Some materials supplied, materials list with you confirmation.

“Intermediate Watercolor Painting”
4 Tuesdays: June 1st, 8th,15th & 22nd. 9AM - Noon. Fee: $80.00 Held at Dawns Hallmark in Auburn

This series of watercolor classes helps folks continue to develop your watercolor skills. Fun easy exercises and demonstrations will help you develop better painting skills. Space is limited so be sure to sign up early.

Note to all Hallmark Students Continuing Hallmark Special - Students who are currently enrolled in a Hallmark classes with Susan Barry and plan to sign into the next session may take a $10 Off special on classes. Normal $80 fee is now $70 BUT you must register early(by mail) and make a note on your application that you would like to take advantage of the Hallmark Special. Drop ins for one day sessions at Dawns, students must call ahead, Fees per session $25 Space is limited so call ahead. Thanks.
