INTRODUCTION TO WATERCOLOR BASICS
Start with a look at watercolor styles and techniques. Exxplore mising pigment and water to create dynamic wet-into-wet watercolor paintings. From glowing under paintings and glazing, to brush techniques you will comes away woith a greater knowledge of watercolor tools and tricks all designed to help you achieve your painting goals. Open to novice and intermedient levels. Bring your current watercolors, brushes and a piece of 140 lb. watercolor paper. Be prepared to have some wet and wild times!
BROWN BAG PAPER MACHE SCULPTURE
This is a fun, easy introduction into a multi-faceted paper mache process. Make your very own sculpture! A creative process that show you how to design a 3-dimensional piece through new and simple paper mache techniques. On the second day meeting you will paint and decorate your own creation! (All materials included. Dress comfortably and bring a snack or sack lunch.)
BEGINNING FIELD JOURNALING – A ONE DAY WORKSHOP
This is a fun introduction into the fast growing art of outdoor journaling. Open to all levels of artists. Explore short cuts and tips to help you sketch in the out-of-doors. Work with pen, pencil, watercolors paints, watercolor pencils, crayons, graphite and more! Learn ways to sharpen your powers of observation, find new things you may have missed. We also explore techniques you can use to create larger and more complete drawings and paintings, through use of your journal sketches. Make a simple journal all your own. Some materials are provided. A materials list and map are supplied with registration confirmation.
INTRODUCTIONS TO WET-INTO-WET PAINTING
A workshop designed for watercolor aretists wanting to paint lake reflections through the wet-into-wet watercolor process. Step into the technique of allowing water and pigment to flow on the paper. This fun easy paint along will give you the tools to create your own paintings. A meterials list and directions to the studio are available with your confirmation. Some materials ar supplied.
